Nice post
I have been in the field of interiors for more than 40 years but my real journey started after my separation. Then came the need for me to be on my own, and be financially independent.
When I finally decided to be on my own, the best thing was I made my own call, without my husband’s interference and without his assistance, and that’s when I started being enterprising.
It wasn’t easy, I was living with my two children, but they were very supportive of me when I wanted to be alone and be without him.
So, when I talked to them about Separation, they were all there with me, very supportive. And it was a big bag of strong support, especially an emotional support
I knew I had to take the plunge and we will be facing a financial crisis. Until then everything was very stable in life. But the best part of that difficult call was, it was not necessary of me to consult him.
Though initially, I was very apprehensive, as he would often say to me, “I won’t be able to do this,” because I am just barely 10th pass.
But with the complete support of my children, as they were grown up. I started from scratch. I had a land with me. I built up my factory and also needed a place for production and office space.
God was kind to me, and things worked out smoothly afterward. Everything came to me by word of mouth, I never promoted my business.
My daughter was a pillar for me at that time. My son, although he was young, was also there for me. They had no complaints, if I'm working till late or if the food is not ready. I was mentally free and I never had the pressure of maintaining the house.
I would just say trust your children, even when they're small. They support in so many ways which is beyond their control, but the hidden support that you get from them. It's what can take you everywhere, recognize that.
