Title : Children were scared from school trees
Government Primary School, Dhaulran, hosts three male teachers, 65 students, and a midday meal worker. However, the school encounters safety and infrastructure challenges. The presence of 20 eucalyptus trees raises concerns for student safety, and the deteriorating building condition poses a risk of collapse. In addition, insufficient classroom facilities hinder proper seating arrangements. Addressing these issues was essential to ensure a secure and conducive learning environment for the students. Discussed school issues with the head teacher and conducted community visits to understand the village situation. Met with sarpanch panchayat members. Visit to BDPO Office to understand the depth and concrete actions. Organized a Gram Sikhiya Sabha that was attended by Sarpanch & panchayats. During GSS, we discussed school issues and roles of panchayats, resulting in the creation of a school development plan. After GSS and follow ups meeting with sarpanch finally Sarpanch and Panchayat Secretary visited the school for condition assessment. Multiple follow-ups with the teacher, Continued discussions with Sarpanch, panchayat members, and Engaged in ongoing communication with SMC members community members and Numberdar of village to determine feasible actions. The Sarpanch initiated the cutting of dry eucalyptus trees through MNREGA. The Sarpanch recognized the significance of school development for the village's progress and acknowledged his duty towards the school.
