1. The Great Barrier Reef of Australia
The Great Barrier Reef, a kaleidoscope of vivid colours that stretches over 1400 miles, is known for being the world's largest coral reef system. It is home to rare marine life, but it is under jeopardy owing to global warming. According to reports, rising ocean temperatures around the magnificent coral reef have resulted in irreversible coral bleaching, which is defined as a condition in which the coral becomes white and is prone to catastrophic die-offs, eliminating a key habitat for marine species. According to an airborne study conducted in 2020, around 60% of the reef's surviving coral had already died as a result of this.

2. The Dead Sea
The Dead Sea, known for its extremely salty water that permits bathers to float on its top, is apparently endangered. According to reports, the sea's water level is projected to be plummeting by nearly 3 feet each year, and it may already be dead in certain aspects. Since the water level is dropping at an alarming rate, approximately 7000 sinkholes have formed, many of which are linked to man-made dams. Furthermore, because the minerals contained in the Dead Sea are touted as curative, cosmetic corporations' extraction has shown to be damaging. With the increasing heat in the Middle East, the lake is running out of time, and if current trends continue, the lake might be completely dry by 2050.

3. The Amazon River
It is well-known for being the world's largest rainforest, covering over 40% of South America. Despite its immense size and abundance of flora and animals, the Amazon's ecosystem has become extremely vulnerable due to global warming. While droughts have left jungle tree species parched and deadly wildfires are growing more common, Amazon will undoubtedly have to struggle to survive.
