The Supreme Court granted bail to AAP MP Sanjay Singh in a money laundering case related to the Delhi Excise Policy scam. A bench of Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice PB Varale on Tuesday ordered bail to Sanjay Singh, who has been in jail for six months. During the hearing, the Enforcement Directorate said that it has no objection if the AAP leader is granted bail in the case. Question was asked to ED.Earlier, the Supreme Court had asked the ED whether there was a need to keep Singh in custody for some more time. The Supreme Court had asked the ED to apprise it after the lunch break if there is a need for the custody of AAP leader Sanjay Singh in the Delhi Excise Policy scam case. Apart from this, the top court said that AAP leader Sanjay Singh has spent six months in jail and there is an allegation against him of taking a bribe of Rs 2 crore. These allegations can be investigated during the trial.
