The European Union (EU) announced on Thursday that it was allocating € 1 million to meet the most urgent needs of earthquake victims in Afghanistan.

The union is also ready to provide further assistance.
According to the European Union, about 270,000 people in the affected areas need immediate assistance.

A statement issued by the European Union (EU) said the aid would reach the victims through NGOs and the United Nations.
