Our Pixstory Partners often ask how they can CounterPivot when they perceive a risk to their information and communications technology (ICT) supply chain. Recently, the auditing arm of the US Government (GAO) found that many “…of the manufacturing inputs for these ICT products and services— whether physical materials or knowledge—originate from a variety of sources throughout the world. As a result, the federal government has increased its reliance on complex, interconnected, and globally distributed supply chains that can include multiple tiers of outsourcing.” This Pixstory depicts why many of our US based ICT companies use supply chain risk management (SCRM) to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with the global and dispersed nature of ICT product and service supply chains.
