In an interview with Hindustan Times, Sunidhi spoke about the incident and clarified that she wasn't attacked. She mentioned that it was just kids having fun. She acknowledged that the video had gone viral and emphasized that such a thing had never happened to her before. Sunidhi explained that during her performance of the second last song, the crowd was enthusiastic and started tossing bottles in the air. One of the bottles containing water fell onto the stage.
When Sunidhi expressed concern about the situation possibly halting the show, the audience immediately responded with requests for the show to continue. She further elaborated that the bottle hit her microphone forcefully, but fortunately, she was unharmed. Sunidhi acknowledged previous instances of intentional misbehavior by audiences towards performers and emphasized that such actions were unacceptable.
