Stray Kids' Lee Know Joins World Vision's Bob Pierce Honor Club
Stray Kids' Lee Know has been appointed to the prestigious Bob Pierce Honor Club by World Vision, marking him as the youngest member to date.
In an announcement made on February 28, World Vision disclosed Lee Know's induction into the Bob Pierce Honor Club, a distinguished group of major donors named after the organization's founder, Bob Pierce. Membership to this club is extended to sponsors who have generously contributed over 100 million won (approximately $75,000) and actively advocate for various global issues, particularly those related to sharing and alleviating poverty.
Lee Know's philanthropic endeavors are noteworthy. In January, he donated 100 million won to World Vision's global food crisis response project, aimed at aiding children in the world's most impoverished regions grappling with food shortages due to rapid climate change. His generosity extends further; last February, he contributed to emergency relief efforts following significant earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. Moreover, Lee Know has been sponsoring children both in Korea and abroad since 2014, currently supporting four children.
Expressing his gratitude, Lee Know stated, "I would be grateful if my support could be of some help to children in Korea and abroad. I will contemplate about what I can do from where I am and pass on the love I have received."
World Vision Chairman Cho Myung Hwan commended Lee Know's consistent dedication to aiding children in need, underscoring his induction as the youngest member of the Bob Pierce Honor Club. He added, "We will work harder so that Lee Know's kind influence can be conveyed well through World Vision."
Lee Know's commitment to philanthropy serves as an inspiration, illuminating the impact individuals can make in transforming the lives of those less fortunate.
