Stray dogs outside the city airport now have their own identification cards!
These 'Aadhaar' cards, featuring QR codes, were attached to the dogs' scruffs and contain important information like their name, contact details of the feeder, vaccination history, sterilization status, and medical records.
A team of dedicated individuals worked tirelessly to tag 20 dogs with these animated identity cards.
With the help of a regular feeder and BMC officials, the dogs were successfully vaccinated during the process.
This initiative, spearheaded by 'pawfriend.in', aims to reunite lost pets with their families and establish a centralized database of strays in the city.
The pilot project, conducted outside Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai, is a promising step towards ensuring the safety of both passengers and furry companions in the vicinity.
The dogs were also sterilized and received a basic health check.
Let's applaud the efforts to provide care and identification for our four-legged friends, helping them lead healthier and safer lives!
