Trouble doesn't seem to be going away for Rahul Gandhi, as a fresh controversy for him as the Union Minister Smriti Irani has accused Gandhi of giving a flying kiss before exiting the house.
Although the incident is not captured in Camera, Irani criticized Gandhi's action as inappropriate, particularly since there are numerous women MPs present in the parliament.
Expressing her objection, Union Minister Smriti Irani stated, "I have an objection to something. The individual who spoke before me demonstrated an act of indecency upon departure. It is only someone with a misogynistic mindset who would bestow a flying kiss in a parliament where female members of parliament are seated. This kind of undignified behaviour has not been witnessed in the history of our country's parliament..."
Now, NDA's women MPs have written to the Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla demanding strict action against Rahul Gandhi alleging hom for making an inappropriate gesture towards BJP MP Smriti Irani and displaying indecent behaviour in the house.
Union Minister & BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje on Rahul Gandhi said, "This is the first time we have seen such behaviour from an MP in the House. He made a gesture of a flying kiss at women MPs in the House....It is unacceptable. We have complained to the Speaker to take action against him."
Smriti Irani hit back at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's statement on the no-confidence motion in the Lok Sabha against the NDA government and said "You are not India, for India is not corrupt."
You are not India because you define corruption and dynastic politics, retorts. India believes in merit not in dynasty and today of all the days people like you need to remember what was told to the British - Quit India. Corruption Quit India, Dynasty Quit India. Merit now finds place in India," the BJP leader said.
Responding to Rahul's Manipur comments, Irani said Manipur is an integral part of India, while asserting that the Congress party does not represent INDIA, but rather embodies 'corruption in India.'
