Slum kids inspire hope with heartfelt letters to God in Aashray Foundation's creative initiative
Chandigarh: In a heartwarming initiative aimed at nurturing creativity and fostering self-expression, the Aashray Foundation, accompanied by Isaac Kapoor, a 16-year-old student at the International School of Monaco, organized a unique activity where slum kids penned heartfelt letters to God. The Aashray Foundation is an NGO committed to uplifting slum communities through education. Padhai workshops are conducted regularly, aiming to empower children and families living in slums to build brighter futures. Isaac Kapoor holds British nationality and is of Indian and French descent. His decision to volunteer at the Ashray Foundation NGO in India reflects his commitment to social responsibility and global citizenship. Despite his young age, he has been accepted into the highly competitive Harvard Summer School Program, where he will study Economics courses for college credit over a period of seven weeks this coming summer in 2024.
During this activity, each child crafted their letter with sincerity and earnestness and poured their innocence, hopes, and desires onto paper.
This initiative aimed to empower these children, providing them with an avenue to express themselves freely and providing a sense of hope and belief in their hearts. It also served as a reminder of the power of imagination and the resilience of the human spirit, even in the face of adversity.
As the letters were collected, each one became a testament to the indomitable spirit of these young souls, resonating with innocence, hope, and unwavering faith.
