Since I was born and grew up in Arab countries, I will talk today about Arab dress.
The thobe (most regions of the Arabian Peninsula), the dishdasha (in Kuwait, Oman, Iraq, and Ahwaz), the kandura (some regions of Oman), or the chemis is the Arab man’s clothing. It is a fabric that is usually white in color, consisting of one complete piece that covers the entire body and arms, and is usually worn with the shemagh. And the headband. Or the Janabiyah in Yemen, southern Saudi Arabia, and the Sultanate of Oman.
