Shoaib Akhtar underwent a knee surgery. Akhtar has been facing knee problems from last 11 years and most recently he went for another surgery in Melbourne, Australia.
Akhtar uploaded a video of himself on his Instagram handle from a hospital bed in Melbourne. The Pakistan paceman was very emotional in the video while telling his fans, that the surgery went well and he asked for wishes & prayers for his recovery.
In the video, Shoaib spoke about how his knees forced him in an early retirement, if his knee issues were not there, he would have played at least 4-5 years more but had he continued playing like this, he might have ended up in a wheelchair.
“I could have played for another four to five years. But I was aware that if I did, I would become wheelchair-bound. That’s the reason why I retired from cricket," Shoaib Akhtar was said in the video.
