I want to share how i managed finances and academics together. I hope you can learn from my lessons:)
1. Part-Time Jobs: I worked evenings at a local grocery store, which allowed me to attend morning classes without any scheduling conflicts. I knew the kaka since i came to this neighborhood and we build good rapport. He offered me to do the accounts for him for 5K/month.
2. Remote Work: I took up freelance writing, giving me the flexibility to work around my study hours. Usually i had to write a few articles. You can make your portfolio and apply through platforms such as LinkedIn, Indeed. Made 2K a month atleast.
3. Internships: I did an internship in a publication as a content writer to gain practical experience during summer vacations. I received 25K/month. But it was 9 hours a say which was consuming. Choose wisely.
4. On-Campus Jobs: I secured a position in the university library, which was convenient for me as it was close to my classes. No pay. Just fun.But you'll get letter of recommendation for opportunities abroad.
5. Time Management: I used a weekly planner (app) to schedule study time.
6. Prioritize Tasks: Always prioritize your assignments and projects. REMEMBER YOU MAIN GOAL.
7. Communicate: I regularly updated my professors and employer about my schedule to manage expectations.
