If there ever existed a hotter debate than Veg Biryani or Pulao, it'd be this - to have or not to have sex on the first date? Religious, and cultural beliefs, and social stigma surrounding women's sexuality govern a lot of us. And so, giving in to your desires on the first date is still frowned upon in some (read: many) sections of society.
But, whatever your view on this one may be, know that, ultimately, it's a personal choice. And one that's absolutely nothing to be ashamed of! As long as it's two consensual adults engaging in sexual activities, it's nobody's business if it's happening on the first date or the fiftieth!
1 Consent - This is very important for any sexual encounter. Make sure you have your boundaries and intentions discussed when engaging intimately.
2 It's a personal choice - There's no right or wrong with having sex on the first date. It depends on you and your sexuality!
3 No judgement - Don't let the fear of judgment stop you from exploring your desires. And if you think your date will be the one to judge, they're not worth your time!
4 Future expectations - Remember to discuss what you're both looking for from this date. If one person sees it as a casual encounter and the other sees a potential future, it won't work.
5 Contraception - Safe sex is always a good idea, especially in the case of first-date sex. You don't know enough about the person or their sexual history yet. Remember to use protection!
So, whether you're considering first-date sex, are just curious about it, or looking back on a memory, this post is for you!
