Wrexham announced that they would be travelling Stateside yet again this summer for their pre-season tour and will face the likes of Bournemouth, Chelsea and Reynolds' home side the Vancouver Whitecaps. They also announced that for the first time ever Wrexham's women's team will also be travelling Stateside as part of their tour sponsored by Ally Financial.
Speaking about the tour, Reynolds said: “Last year Rob [McElhenney] got to bring Wrexham to Philly. This year it's my turn. I am so excited my hometown club the Whitecaps will get to square off against the Red Dragons. My official stance on the match will be a very friendly 'neutral' even if I will be screaming for a Paul Mullin hat-trick.”
The Red Dragons, under the ownership of Reynolds and McElhenney, have risen to League One from the National League in two years. They achieved a record-breaking season in the National League last season as they won the league and secured promotion to League Two before they secured promotion this season as well.
