Till today the Tata Mumbai Marathon was one of my biggest achoevement I'm the most proud of till today. This marathon has boosted my self confidence and made me learn certain valuable lessons when it comes to running.
Again, something that really drove me towards running was that the very first competition I took part in was a drug awareness drive and being a witness myself in my own hometown I was aware of how dangerous the effects of drugs could be specially in the lives of today's youth. Above all, running has it's own advantages help to build strong bones, as it is a weight bearing exercise, it strengthens muscles, improves cardiovascular fitness, burns plenty of calories and helps maintain a balanced weight and being a patient of diabetics personally speaking, I have known and tasted the advantages of running to the core.
Higher rates of mortality, coronary artery disease, hypertension, and stroke are linked to sedentary lifestyles. As the body quickly adjusts to inadequate physical activity, which results in a noticeably lower quality of life, it is also a major contributor to the majority of chronic diseases and in my opinion running can act as the best medicine to all these issues.
