Chirag Naik, a committee member of the MCC, shared his excitement at experiencing an IPL-style atmosphere during the tournament. "I had always wanted to attend an IPL match, and this year's RKV Champions Trophy provided me with just that. The quality of organization and Manas's power-hitting gave me a glimpse of the IPL. My gratitude to the organizers for hosting such a stupendous event," Naik remarked.
Tanmay Kholkar, owner of the Manas Mavericks, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the organizers for providing a platform for excellence in cricket. "The Ramakant Verlekar Trophy has been a fantastic opportunity for our team. I commend the Mavericks for their outstanding performance and for lifting the trophy. I see parallels between Panaji Gymkhana's and MCC's contributions to cricket, highlighting their efforts in the sport's development. The PGML holds immense significance for us, and we aspire to elevate it to greater heights each year," Kholkar stated.
Dr. Sagar Salgaoncar, owner of the MCC Legends, champions of the MCL, praised the impeccable organization of the tournament. "Congratulations to the winning team, Manas Mavericks. The RKV Champions Trophy provided an enjoyable evening of cricket for all involved," Salgaoncar remarked.
Chief Guest Sanjay Raiturkar, reflecting on his cricketing memories from the 1980s, expressed joy at witnessing the game after many years. "It's wonderful to see both teams. It brings back memories of when I played in the '80s. During my playing days, cricket was played in a different, longer format. I observed the excitement and enthusiasm of both teams in today's game," Raiturkar nostalgically stated.
The Ramakant Verlekar Champions Trophy not only showcased top-tier cricketing talent but also provided an IPL-like experience for enthusiasts and participants alike, further elevating the stature of the PGML and Goa's cricketing scene.
