Refereeing in the spotlight in Arsenal v Bayern
Arsenal and Bayern Munich played out a 2-2 draw in London in the first leg of their UCL quarterfinals. Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard scored for the hosts while Harry Kane and former Gunner Serge Gnabry scored for the Germans.
There was however a lot of talk about the refereeing post game. There was talk about the penalty Bayern got for a foul on Leroy Sane while there was uproar about a late dive in the box from Bukayo Saka. Harry Kane could have seen red after seemingly elbowing Gabriel across the face. The weirdest of the lot was when Gabriel picked the ball up with his hands after David Raya had passed it to him from a goal kick. Thomas Tuchel was fuming about this decision post game.
