Real Madrid Looking to Pounce on Virgil Van Dijk after Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool Exit!
As per Defensa Central, "Real Madrid are prepared to pounce on the uncertainty surrounding Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp's exit with a move for Virgil van Dijk, whose contract is up in 2025."
The Liverpool centreback recently claimed that there will be a lot of uncertainty after Jurgen Klopp leaves in the summer. Van Dijk was signed by the German boss in 2018 and since then the defender has made 246 appearances for the club, helping them to win the Champions League and Premier League titles among other accolades.
Though there have been media reports about a potential departure, Van Djik has now publicly rubbished these reports. The Dutchman said in a recent press conference that, "To be 100% clear, I am fully committed to Liverpool. I love the club, I love the fans. My statement is fully taken out of context."
Real Madrid currently have Antonio Rudiger, Eder Militao, and David Alaba as the three options in defence. If they sign Virgil Van Dijk, they would have to potentially part ways with one of their current options.
Will we see Van Dijk put on a Real Madrid jersey in the future? Let me know your thoughts...
