Austria coach Ralf Rangnick revealed that Bayern Munich has reached out to him regarding their head coach position. Rangnick, the former RB Leipzig manager, is seen as Bayern's top choice to succeed Thomas Tuchel, who is leaving at the season's end.
Several other potential candidates like Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann, and Sebastian Hoeness have stated they are not pursuing the role. Owing to this, the Bavarians are now activelly pursuing Rangnick and the manager has even informed his current employers, thr Austrian national team about the same.
Talking to the media about Bayern's advances, Rangnick has said, "Bayern Munich have contacted me and I have informed the ÖFB about this. We have a very trusting relationship. My focus is on the Austrian national team. We are completely focused on the European Championship. I feel very comfortable here. At the moment there's no reason for me to focus on anything else."
The German concluded the topic by saying that he will consider the offer in detail if everything works and out and then take a decision on his future.
