PUCA welcomes APH 2024-27 by AICTE, New Delhi
Mohali: Punjab Unaided Colleges Association (PUCA) welcomed the reforms announced in approval process handbook (APH) 2024- 27 released today by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.
Dr. Anshu Kataria, President, PUCA & Chairman, Aryans Group of Colleges, Rajpura near Chandigarh said that the reforms made & the initiative taken by AICTE to give a new direction to the technical education of the country is praiseworthy.
Kataria further said that various steps taken by AICTE including additional seats to technical colleges without NAAC/NBA; relaxation in land requirements & approval of new colleges on the basis of covered area, allowing working people to pursue M.Tech through evening or weekends classes & relaxing regular classes etc. are remarkable.
Advocate Amit Sharma, Senior Vice President PUCA said that AICTEs relaxation for regular 9 to 4 classes will be helpful for those government employees of our Punjab who are Diploma holders but were aspiring to complete engineering degree for their promotion. Till now they were not able and eligible to upgrade their education while continuing their job.
