As election ground heats up, speculations and predictions are being made by political analysts and those who have followed the Indian politics for decades.

Now, political strategist Prashant Kishor has predicted big jump for the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in southern states, a region the party is trying to get maximum seats from.

In a discussion with news agency PTI, he said that the saffron party will add significant number to their vote account in eastern and southern India, including West Bengal.

"They (BJP) will significantly add number of seats in eastern and southern India, and we would also see a huge jump in their vote share which is more important in states like Tamil Nadu," Kishor said.

"I had said this a year back that for the first time I see the BJP in double digits in Tamil Nadu in terms of vote share. They (BJP) will either be first or second party in Telangana which is a big thing. They will be number one in Odisha for sure," he further said adding that people would be surprised as, "in all likelihood, to my mind, the BJP is going to be the number one party in West Bengal".
