IPL is the most breathtaking domestic league in the world and it has proved it every time, and this year too is in no way different from others as we have already witnessed all sorts of thrills and twists, shocks and amusements of the season and many more are yet to come. The second weekend will end with the roaring kings from Punjab taking on the yet feeble Sunrisers who are still searching for some momentum.
Let's take a look at the 3 most debatable contests between the players from both sides :
#1 Aiden Markram vs Harpreet Brar
The newly named skipper of SRH in 2023 has been in stellar form in international cricket. With Markram's return in the last match against LSG, he would now be seen captaining the side and also shepherding their batting and Harpreet Brar can be their rescue bowler as the young protea has struggled against left-arm spinners as his average drops to 10 against them. Brar though infamous, has been a constant part of the PBKS setup and contributed immensely to the team's success in one way or the other.
#2 Shikhar Dhawan vs Fazalhaq Farooqi
The IPL veteran has an immense amount of experience and his age has not been able to impact his proficiency with the bat. Dhawan is yet one of India's most reliable limited-overs openers and his good start to the season has many worries for the opposition, the dooming Sunrisers' side would pin all their hopes on their quality left-arm pacer, Farooqi who is often seen with the new ball for the orange army. Dhawan can be beaten by angle by the quirky left-armer.
#3 Prabhsimran Singh vs Bhuvaneshwar Kumar
The young Indian sporadic talent has been in great form in the domestic tournaments before coming to the IPL and has outclassed many giants of the game playing against the Royals. Therefore to counter Singh's impact over PBKS's batting innings, the SRH skipper would hope their most experienced pacer Bhuvaneshwar Kumar to produce something out of the box to baffle the batter.
