Thomas Tuchel will receive a substantial compensation of €10 million when his contract with Bayern Munich ends this season. The news comes from Sport Bild, stating that the 50-year-old German coach's compensation equals one year's salary without bonuses.
In February, Bayern announced their agreement with Tuchel to part ways at the season's end. Tuchel took over as Bayern's coach in March 2023, succeeding Julian Nagelsmann. Roberto De Zerbi and Ralf Rangnick are the two candidates being considered by Bayern to replace Tuchel, with a few other names likely to be added to the shortlist.
Having added the likes of Harry Kane and Kim Min-Jae among other stars, Bayern were being considered one of the strongest squads in Europe this season. However, the team has failed to gel together and it is likely that the Bavarians may end up trophyless unless Tuchel pulls off a masterclass to win the UEFA Champions League.
Should Bayern keep hold of Tuchel if they somehow manage to become European Champions this season? Let me know your thoughts...
