One of the best shows. Much like other, more popular shows, like The Office, it took a couple of seasons to pinpoint its style of humor, but around season three is when it finally succeeds, and man does it deliver from there on out. Coming from the standpoint of someone who writes and reads a lot and pays attention to details others don't when it comes to shows, it's incredible. The casting is absolutely perfect. The actors are perfect for their characters. Speaking of characters, those in this show are outstandingly well developed, and 3 dimensional, rather than just flat. The show itself is hysterical, with hilarious conversations and characters. Because of this humor, the more intense episodes, like "Shawn Takes a Shot in the Dark", "Santa Barbara Town 2" and all of the Ying and Yang episodes, are more dynamic to the usual feel of the show, and I love it. I started watching this show for the comedy, but I absolutely loved the more intense episodes, and I even consider them to be some of the best, with twists, and high stakes, and believable (yet still intimidating) villains. I first turned to this show when I was going through a lot in my life, but I didn't know at the time that it would be my favorite show from that point on.
