India's Foreign Secy. Harshv Shringla while speaking at the Inauguration of the "South Asia Group on Energy" says, "working assiduously to promote the sub-region comprising Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Myanmar, Sri Lanka & India as an energy hub."

Energy security is one of the biggest challenges in the coming decades for South Asia as nations like Bangladesh, Sri Lanka & Nepal are witnessing growth momentum along with India.

This will require greater generation capabilities & supply of energy. To workout the strategy, leaders from mentioned countries met today.

But Pakistan did not send their representative in India led initiative.
