I came across this article on LinkedIn and thought it was spectacular so I had to share! The article features the various, and all impressive, recipients of the National Geographic Society and extremely prestigious awards. Essentially these scientists have made tremendous strides and efforts to protect various aspects of the environment. The article features the scientists and goes into their contributions and thoughts on their work. I really enjoyed learning about some of the global issues and initiatives that have spawned in response. As award winning conservation biologist Paula Kahumbu says, “not only [can] I make a difference - but that I must.” Definitely worth a read!
