I am very happy to see that my friend and an acclaimed musician Erickavu N Sunil has brought out the book, RESOUNDING MRIDANGAM, which will be released by eminent playback singer K S Chitra on Sunday.

The book is a treat for every music lover. It explores the theoretical facets of Mridangam with a deep sense of history. I am sure that this book would serve as an academic reference to students.

Music transcends the borders of nations. Accordingly, Sunil’s book covers comparative analysis of the various genres of music. What enriches the book is some 200 plus exponents of Mridangam taking about very interesting things---- and it’s not common to get these anecdotes, life-enriching experience often.
