Mohun Bagan vs Mumbai City in the ISL Final this Saturday!

Cash-rich sides Mohun Bagan and Mumbai City will clash for the ISL Cup this Saturday at the VYBK Stadium in Kolkata. The two sides competed at the same stadium a couple of weeks back where the Mariners beat MCFC 2-1 to top the league and win the ISL Shield.

Mohun Bagan knocked out Odisha FC 3-2 on aggregate to reach the final whereas Mumbai City beat their western rivals FC Goa 5-2 on aggregate to secure their place in the title decider. Both teams have won an ISL Cup each in their history.

Incidentally, the 2020/21 ISL Final was also between Mumbai City FC and ATK Mohun Bagan. The Islanders edged out their rivals back then to win the final 2-1 courtesy of a late Bipin Singh goal to take the trophy back to Mumbai.

With the final set to be played at the famous VYBK Stadium in Kolkata, Will Mohun Bagan be the favourites to clinch the trophy? Let me know your thoughts...
