What is mental health? Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. In other words, it affects how we think, feel, and act.
Mental health has always been a taboo topic to discuss. But we need to understand that anyone can have mental health issues. It can be a 7 year old whose parents have just gotten a divorce or it can be 47 year old mother who has lost her son.
Just like we are not ashamed of ourselves when we have a headache, so why do we think something is wrong with us when we have we show symptoms of OCD, Bipolar disorder, Clinical Depression and what not.
Just like we are not ashamed to go to the doctor for our physical health, so why are we embarrassed to visit a shrink.
Today, we should make a promise to ourselves to be kind to everyone around us.
Let's make this a safe place for everyone around us.
