As cases of COVID-19 in Delhi are on the rise with close to 2100 cases recorded yesterday, wearing face masks has been made mandatory again by the District disaster management authority. A fine of Rs500 is imposed on the violators.
The decision was taken by the DDMA after noticing that people were not adhering to wearing of masks at public places.
People who are travelling in their provate vehicles are exempted under the new mandate guidelines.
Covid-19 cases are on the rise with 2146 fresh Covid cases with a positivity rate of 17.83%. In August, 8 deaths have been recorded so far in Delhi due to Covid.
