Manchester United are reportedly interested in Julen Lopetegui, the former coach of Spain and a target for AC Milan. The Serie A giants are reportedly close to reaching an agreement with Lopetegui, with talks expected to progress soon.
However as per Corriere della Sera, Milan are also trying to outpace Juventus in their pursuit of Thiago Motta. Juventus are dealing with financial considerations related to Max Allegri's departure and Cristiano Ronaldo's contract, delaying their pre-agreement with Motta. Milan sees an opportunity here and wants to capitalize on it.
Furthermore, Lopetegui has put an offer from West Ham on hold as he prefers Milan over the London club, despite West Ham doubling their financial offer recently. Additionally, Manchester United has inquired about Lopetegui, indicating they might be seeking a new manager in the upcoming summer.
Lopetegui has already managed in the Premier League, having coached the Wolves in the 2022/23 season. The Spaniard is leaning towards a move to AC Milan as of now, however if Manchester United put it an offer, it would certainly make things more enticing for Lopetegui.
AC Milan, West Ham, or Manchester United, where should the Spaniard move to? Let me know your thoughts...
