Kamara-Donny/Fred-Bruno.
🤜🤛
It’s that time of the year again. The busy festive period in the Premier League, which then leads to the tricky January transfer window where clubs are given the chance to add to their squads. It isn’t easy to recruit players in this window, but it’s still worth trying.
It will be music to many Manchester United fans, that Manchester United are in for 22-year-old French midfielder, Boubacar Kamara. Kamara is a defensive midfielder by position, but he is versatile enough to also play as a centre back. Kamara’s contract with Marseille ends in the summer of 2022, and will come in cheap for any club that agrees to sign him in January itself.
Reports suggest Manchester United are backing new manager Ralf Rangnick in this transfer window, and securing the services of Kamara will be a step towards solving the midfield conundrum that has existed at Manchester United in centre midfield ever since Michael Carrick stepped down.
The McFred partnership of Fred and Scott McTominay has been the go-to partnership in games, but there have been many times when the duo has failed to put their marker and provide a balance for Manchester United, especially in the middle of the park.
The deal is far from done, but again, it’s that time of the year, and United are said to be in for a defensive midfielder, and it kind of makes sense that they are.
Manchester United are currently 5 points off the top 4, albeit they have 2 games in hand over 4th placed Arsenal. United’s last two games were called off due to COVID outbreak at the club.
