It was delight to listen to the ex FS of India Vijay Gokhale on China & Ladakh 2020.

Before 2014, China had dealt with only coalition govt for 30 years and therefore China did think that India will continue to fall in line & it's a subordinate power.

However, when India responded to China where Indian national interests were compromised, China couldn't really comprehend as to what happened to their calculations.

Summing up we can say that China suddenly realized that India is more assertive in its approach & getting massive support from the US, it came calling at LAC in Ladakh in a knee-jerk reaction, which also did not go well as India responded even more robustly to China's theatrics.

Can there be thaw between Beijing & New Delhi, may be in a distant dream.
