MacAllister impresses as Liverpool keep top spot
Liverpool came from behind to beat Brighton 2-1 and in the process stay first in the Premier League, benefitting from Manchester City and Arsenal's draw.
Danny Welbeck had given Brighton a 2nd minute lead meaning Liverpool once again had to claw their way back into a game. And they did that, with Luis Diaz equalising in the first half itself and Mo Salah winning it in the second.
The real star of the night however was Alexis MacAllister. The Argentine midfielder who moved from Brighton to Liverpool this summer was majestic, controlling the game for Liverpool and pushing them forward. Ever since he has been moved forward, thanks to the introduction of Wataru Endo in defensive midfield, he has been fantastic.
