Journalling is so important for your mental health too
Journaling has been discussed and debated for improving mental health and also as a form of stress release for long.But it gained momentum this past one year -
for anxiety and stress levels are at an all-time high.
Journaling is of many forms and shades – art journaling, using journaling prompts, bullet journaling are a few.
Daily journaling is something you will see every lifestyle guru recommend .
But if finding the energy and time to journal every day is difficult – do it once a week.A weekly review as it’s called is where you reflect over the past week and answer prompts like:
How your week was like?
What did you enjoy?
What did you wish to change and so on?
You can use journaling to vent out stress and negative emotions. Because as many claim-journaling is very cathartic.
You can doodle,draw,scrapbook or simply scribble.
The process of journaling is personal and unique – it helps you connect with yourself and puts you on a path to self-discovery.
So, start small. Choose a nice notebook and pen that you like and get started.
Remember to set a goal for your journaling. Do you want to get some mental clarity ?Do you want to imprint you day in history? Do you want to observe your progress?
And lastly – remember to make it something you look forward to. Not a chore or a daily habit you simply have to do.
So, grab a pen, a notebook and some stationery.
