Lee Chae Min Steps Down as Host of "Music Bank" + Moon Sang Min Being Considered as Replacement

Lee Chae Min's agency, Gold Medalist, has officially confirmed his departure from KBS2's "Music Bank," with his final broadcast scheduled for May 3. After serving as MC for one year and seven months since September 2022, Lee Chae Min is stepping down to shift his focus towards acting. He is set to appear in Netflix's upcoming drama "Hierarchy," slated for release in June.

Simultaneously, there have been reports that Moon Sang Min is under consideration to take over Lee Chae Min's role as the new MC. Confirming these speculations, Moon Sang Min's agency, Awesome ENT, revealed that he has indeed received an offer to join "Music Bank" as an MC and is currently reviewing it positively.

KBS has also chimed in, stating that until a successor MC is finalized, the show will feature special MCs in the interim period.
