Kylian Mbappe expressed that he would have traded his hattrick in the 2022 World Cup Final for a scrappy 1-0 win, despite still achieving personal milestones.

He admitted, "At the time I didn't realize too much. I would have exchanged my hattrick for an ugly goal for us to win 1-0."
