Kang Tae Oh Set to Host "SNL Korea" Episode in First TV Appearance Since Military Discharge
Announced by Coupang Play on April 5, Kang Tae Oh is confirmed to host Episode 7 of Season 5 of the “SNL Korea” reboot, marking his inaugural television appearance post-military service.
After completing his military duty on March 19, where he served actively for about one year and six months since enlisting in September 2022, Kang Tae Oh is ready to grace the small screen once again through “SNL Korea.”
Expressing his anticipation, Kang Tae Oh shared, “Even during my military service, I enjoyed watching SNL and gained a lot of energy from it. I’ve always admired the crew’s passion and dedication to their comedic craft, so it’s a special feeling to be appearing on the show myself. With gratitude to the audience and fans who have been waiting for me, I will do my best to create a legendary episode.”
The Korean iteration of “Saturday Night Live” originally aired for nine seasons on tvN from 2011 to 2017. A fresh reboot emerged in 2021 on the OTT platform Coupang Play, featuring notable cast members such as Shin Dong Yup, Kwon Hyuk Soo, Ahn Young Mi, Jung Sang Hoon, Kim Min Kyo, and more.
