Juventus Targetting Toni Kroos For a Possible Summer Swoop!
Italian giants Juventus are closely following the developments around Real Madrid's midfield maestro, Toni Kroos. After securing Carlos Alcaraz on loan in January, the Serie A side is currently weighing the prospect of making his move permanent. However, as per TMW, with attention shifting to the summer, Juve have their eyes on Kroos, whose contract with Real Madrid at the end of the season.
The German midfielder's uncertain contract renewal opens the door for Juventus to potentially acquire him on a free transfer. In addition to Kroos, the Bianconeri are also keeping tabs on Arsenal's Jorginho, whose contract is set to expire in the summer as well. While the Italian midfielder is under consideration, the likelihood of Arsenal exercising a one-year renewal adds a layer of complexity.
Kroos could be a good option to replace Paul Pogba, who is undergoing a trial for his doping allegations. However, Real Madrid are likely to offer the German midfielder a year's extension to retain his services. The 34-year-old has made 32 appearances for Real Madrid this season and with Luka Modric likely leaving, Kroos' experience would be important to guide Los Blancos next season.
