John Wick: Chapter 4 lands in cinemas later this month, and we've now got the first reactions to the action epic.
The new movie sees John Wick (Keanu Reeves) attempt to earn his freedom from the High Table with the help of old friends. However, to do so, he must face off against a new enemy with powerful alliances across the globe.
Ahead of its release in cinemas on March 24, John Wick: Chapter 4 held its premiere tonight (March 6) in London with Reeves in attendance, alongside the likes of director Chad Stahelski, Rina Sawayama, Ian McShane and Natalia Tena.
Those lucky few in attendance have now taken to social media to share their first reactions to the new movie, including Digital Spy's very own movies editor Ian Sandwell who wrote:
"John Wick: Chapter 4 is absolutely HUGE. Yes, it's long, but its outrageously good set pieces more than make up for it. A slick, brutal and stylish action epic that sees Keanu Reeves push himself further than before."
Other early reactions called the film "brawny, bold and bass" and "one of the greatest action movies ever made".
Last month, it was confirmed that John Wick: Chapter 4 would be the longest movie in the series by some distance at 169 minutes long. We're sure it'll be worth every minute of that extended runtime though.
"I always saw him as someone from the gutter that now savors the glittery suits he’s wearing. He functions as the new sheriff set out to rid the world of John Wick once and for all."
Will he manage to do so? We don't have long to wait to find out.
John Wick: Chapter 4 is released in cinemas on March 24.
