Menstruation is a natural and normal process for people with menstrual cycles, but unfortunately, it's still considered a taboo topic in many societies. It's time to break the silence and includes men in the conversation.
Men and boys influence women's and girls' experiences of menstrual hygiene management through many roles, including as husbands, fathers, brothers, students, peers, teachers, community leaders, entrepreneurs, employers, development and humanitarian practitioners, and policymakers. Here are some tips;
1 Start the conversation early.
2 Include men in conversations.
3 Share responsibilities.
4 Address the stigma around periods.
5 Involve men in purchasing sanitary products.
6 Use inclusive language and avoid gender stereotypes.
By educating and involving men in menstrual health, we can create a more inclusive and understanding world for everyone. Start by talking openly about periods with the men in your life, and encourage them to ask questions and learn more. Let's work together to end the stigma and make menstruation a topic that is not only accepted but embraced by all genders.
