Navya Maheshwari. Nineteen. And utterly clumsy. She had been gifted the obnoxious trait since she first learnt to walk . That sounds like an exaggeration . But it is the truth. Her parents had probably spent hundreds in their lifetime repairing the odd broken pieces of cutlery , smashed vases and torn clothes that she had managed to somehow always end up tangoing with.
Even as she reached her teenage years , somehow hoping to outgrow the trait , it still appeared to latch on her . She felt sorry for her white blouses stubbornly stained with either coffee or pen marks all over her hands as well.
It wasn't a joke when her grandparents said she needed a fully fitted armour to walk around in. It was probably why half of her relatives refused to leave out their most expensive antiques when she came to visit .
But you get the picture. Navya was Ms Butterfinger as her aunt liked to call her. .
What is wrong with being your clumsy self ? Sure you break expensive things and hurt yourself more often than needed, but what it the point of pointing it to the person in such a way. That they don't use the same cutlery or isn't given impt task of carrying something from here to there. When you point it to the person like this, you make the person even more conscious than needed.
It's completely okay to love your clumsy, itsy - bitsy falling bit. It's a part of who am I. Sure will improve things over time, but stop the criticism everytime.
