Lok Sabha 2024 elections are coming soon, and the political scenario of the country is just going haywire. Now, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has resigned as the state's CM today morning, after meeting Governor Bandaru Dattareya.
Khattar's resignation, followed immediately by the entire cabinet - comes amid speculation of a split in the ruling alliance of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) over seat-sharing agreements for the 2024 Lok Sabha election.
Sources have also said the senior BJP leader, in a surprise move, could contest from Karnal, as reported by NDTV.
As per reports, BJP which is the single largest party in the state, with a 90-member Assembly with 40 seats, is confident of forming the government with support from independent MLAs. Till now the BJP was ruling after a post-poll alliance with Dushyant Chautala's JJP.
