Hair Myths You need to stop believing ❌
1 A flaky scalp means you have dandruff - A flaky scalp does not always mean dandruff. While you may feel an urge to reach for the Anti Dandruff shampoo, take a moment to assess. Dandruff shampoos can actually worsen flaking by drying out the scalp. Flakes often indicate the need for moisture and some exfoliation, and can occur during seasonal changes in temperature.
2 Make sure you rinse out all the conditioner - Rinsing out all the conditioner until hair is squeaky clean defeats the purpose of conditioner and rinses away the nutrients you just applied. Conditioner provides slip and protection to hair. Just focus the conditioner on the strands and not the scalp and don't rinse it out completely.
3 Hair will self regulate if you stop washing - It is a very common myth that if you delay cleaning scalp for a week; then hair start to adjust the oil production. Prolonged periods of not washing can cause buildup on the scalp. The oil production cannot be balanced by delaying washing.
