Germany's Bundesliga Wins Fifth UEFA Champions League Spot!
Borussia Dortmund's 1-0 victory against Paris Saint-Germain has secured them a significant advantage in the quest for Champions League final. However, this victory has not just helped the Black & Yellow's but even the Bundesliga as a whole!
Dormtund's win has guaranteed Germany a minimum of five spots in next season's UEFA Champions League that is going to be expanded to 36 teams. If Edin Terzic's side continue their success and win the Champions League but finish outside the top five in the Bundesliga, Germany could even have six teams in the Champions League next season.
Apart from the Bundesliga, the Serie A will also have five representatives in the UEFA Champions League next season. Premier League was also in the running, however they will have to field just four representatives now, having lost to Germany on co-efficient after Dortmund's win.
Current Top Five in the Bundesliga:
1) Leverkusen - 81 pts
2) Bayern Munich - 69 pts
3) Stuttgart - 64 pts
4) Leipzig - 62 pts
5) Dortmund - 57 pts
