It all started when I was sitting by the window seat and saw some factories down the road. Charcoal fumes choked the sky. And there was literally not a single tree out there.
I didn’t envision that for our future generations. I tried planting a lot of trees but again for how long a high school student can sustain this kind of activity? There is pressure from parents for not focusing on studies, the stress of losing the grades.
All of this made us launch a gardening session at the school, where one of our teachers started teaching us about growing plants and sustaining them until they turn into full grown trees.
I don’t know what happened but this project boomed suddenly. A gardening class had turned into an initiative to save our locality.
But that was not sufficient enough. What should be done to take these kinda regional projects on a global level? Well, that's the question of the decade?
