Brokers have added 13 lakh new demat accounts on an average every month since April last year, according to BSE data. There were over 6.9 crore demat accounts in the country as of May 31, the data revealed. Is it because of the movies like scam 1992 or the big bull the encouraged the people to step into the stock market or it is because of the bull run in market after the crash or people wants to have an alternative source of investment/income?
