Former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie is ready to step into the world of management.

The Dutchman, who is adored by Man United fans, not so much by the Gunners, is prepared to become a manager.

The former Holland international has held talks with an Eredivisie club to start his managerial journey.

The 40-year-old has been a coach at Feyenoord for the past four years, serving in a variety of capacities.

Before becoming the team’s Under-16 and Under-19 co-head coach, which is his present position, the former Premier League striker served as an assistant manager.

Van Persie is reportedly getting set for a significant career change since he has spoken with Heerenveen, who may choose him to be their next manager, according to Omropfryslan (via The Sun).

At the end of the current season, Kees van Wonderen, the Dutch club’s manager, will step down.

The former Man United striker got the best education

Van Persie has had the privilege of playing under some of the best managers of their era.

At Arsenal, he played under the management of Arsene Wenger from a young age, along with players like Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira.

His football education has been developed by playing with teammates like those legends and under Wenger’s tutelage.

Van Persie learned from Sir Alex Ferguson at Man United

After his move to Old Trafford, he had the luxury of playing under Sir Alex Ferguson, who is considered one of the greatest managers of all time.

The former Man United boss won thirteen Premier League titles at Old Trafford, one of them was with Van Persie.

For the Holland national team, the striker played under the coaching of Louis van Gaal, who needs no introduction.

His work with Barcelona and Bayern Munich was exemplary.

Van Persie has the advantage of using all the experience and learnings he got from those big name managers to use in his manager career.
